As someone else noted (sorry, can’t find it now) it really feels like there was a coordinated campaign to boost Schmitt today, with the Axios piece floating him as Vance’s VP setting up his big gotcha attempt at the hearing. They just ignored the fuckup and moved to stage three congratulating him.
