A'ja's 5th MVP ties her with MJ and Bill Russell, one behind Kareem. That company is exactly where she belongs in terms of basketball history. And she's only 30 years old.

Think it’s weird people keep ignoring the fact a big part of why J6 failed was because no one “took the bait” to have some grand confrontation with Trump’s militias.

Whether it's Bill Clinton using tax-payer money to pay for the postage on letters back to people who wrote to his cat or Donald Trump steering hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracts to his son's companies, both presidents engaged in corruption on an unprecedented scale.

Bit more niche but also you don't need to be sworn in by the speaker *at all* after an election. You do if you are elected mid-session (by house rules) but immediately after the election you are sworn by the speaker elect by convention, not by requirement

The House is not a continuing body like the Senate. It reconstitutes entirely after the election. No rules or leadership carry over to the next session except only to the extent that the next session affirmatively chooses to readopt rules or leadership

"I need to drain 4 cities worth of electricity to power my evil supercomputer" isn't even something a Bond villain would do, it's something Dr. Evil would do. It's a Captain Planet plot. But not only is it real life, these tech billionaires want to build HUNDREDS of them. It really is staggering.

Zuckerberg is building a "data center" that needs 4x the energy it takes to power a major city at peak demand. The scale is unfathomable Every light, every HVAC unit, every refrigerator, every IT system in every office, EVERYTHING, and his "data center" needs FOUR TIMES that amount of energy to run
