Eric Schmitt was warned about the Jack Smith texts. He used them anyway.
As Republicans on Capitol Hill try to figure out how Eric Schmitt’s bombshell fell apart so embarrassingly, it turns out he was warned that the texts were unvetted.

A two-panel meme featuring Skeletor from He-Man. Above the image is a news headline reading "White House cancels health, education funds approved by Congress," with subtext "Senate appropriators denounce $810 million rescission as 'illegal'". In the top panel, Skeletor stands raising his hands, overlaid with yellow text that says: "NEVER FORGET THAT CONGRESS HAS ALWAYS HAD THE ABILITY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT DONNIE'S ILLEGAL SHIT BUT CHOOSES NOT TO ACT." In the bottom panel, Skeletor runs away down a corridor, calling back: "SEE YOU AT THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS!"

If these stories feel incessant, and overwhelming… it is because they are. These stories are a drumbeat, telling you, telling America, telling the world that our government is being destroyed. This is indistinguishable from a foreign attack on our country. But the attack is coming from within.

Some rules I've tried to teach my kids about social media and media in general. Before reacting, ask: 1. Why do I know this? 2. Is it important? 3. What is the post/story *not* showing me? 4. Does anyone actually need my opinion on this? I don't always live up to these myself, but they're helpful!

Destroying the legalization of free and easy online gambling is intimately tied into the first plank of the winning platform, anti-corruption. These platforms exist solely to extract, steal, and immiserate. They should not exist and their influence on politics and life in general is wholly toxic.
