Now I understand all my friends who are disgruntled at DnD being the ONLY ttrpg most people want to play. Getting hard for me to find a Masks or Monster of the Week game that fits my schedule.

EVEN IF generative AI... had guardrails against abuse (it doesn't) was good for the environment (it's not) and was accurate all the time (not even close) it was still created by scraping billions of works of creative labour without consent, compensation, or even notification.

One of my favorite arcs in the Venture Bros is the slow revelation that Dr. Jonas Venture Sr. was not just a terrible parent, but a truly reprehensible human being.

Jonas as Rusty remembered him in Season 1, towering over him like a child and reaching a hand out to help him up.

Jonas in Season 7, blackmailing his "friend" Don into murdering supervillains as The Blue Morpho.

It really hurts trusting someone enough to share a trauma I had, only to then use said trauma as a weapon against me.

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

MAHA has been in power for two years. They have decimated basic science, gutted food safety surveillance and kicked millions of people off food stamps. *That* is their ideology, not their polite platitudes about corporate control of the food supply.

When I tell people that the second Trump administration is basically GamerGate with power, they often roll their eyes or quibble with how that word is bounded, but then there’s all the evidence that the second Trump administration is basically GamerGate with power to contend with.

It's a lot to lose three different great artists in one week, but I think it's great that they lived such long, full lives doing what they loved.

I went through a whole Vault full of rads and ghouls (that I got lost in a lot) for that one weapon to convince her family to change, only for it all to have been for nothing. If THAT wouldn't work, then her family was a lost cause. It hurts, but I feel telling Veronica to leave is the right choice

And this was an author who in the late stages of their fic made their protag a cyborg with the soul of a magic princess (yes)... but apparently lockpicking being a common skill was too much for them.

I won't lie... I didn't really think how strange that was UNTIL I typed about it just now. And like I said I trashed the draft, with locked first aid kits along with it. Honestly that fanfic author should've pointed that out but was far more annoyed that a character knew how to pick locks.

TheWanderingZebra @thewanderingzebra1.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

A long time ago, I showed this fanfic author a draft of a fic I was making (ended up throwing that draft away), basically a flashback showing someone important to the protag dying, and they complained that my protag shouldn't know how to lockpick a locked first aid kit... because lockpicking was OP.

Death of the author has really just become DEATH OF THE BOOK. Because we abolished media literacy, abolished analysis, even abolished media consumption in a sense. The actual work is utterly irrelevant, because it is merely a vessel for what *you*, the audience, want to see & hear.

Yeah and that friend was heavily insistant to me that "No no, Kojima wanted to keep David Hayter, Konami gave him no choice", and then reading Hayter's side and THEN seeing Kojima surround himself in all these celebraties after leaving Konami really made me suspicious of Kojima.

Remembering once having this friend who hated MGS5 for recasting Snake but put the blame on Konami rather than Kojima who - from what I gathered - was the one who wanted that recast.

Last year, miHoYo copied my puzzle game Ouros in Zenless Zone Zero. Because they are a recognized, billion-dollar studio and my game isn't well known, some people are now assuming that their version is the original, and mine is the clone. I hope this video clears that up.

Bandit Keith is so freaking funny from the POV of an adult, He's a 30-something washed up drunk that was really good at a TCG, refused to have a sense of humor and is now beefing with a high schooler until it results in his literal death. He's one of the most realistic characters in the series

Hard to see so many basic rights being dismantled and not view the Biden interregnum as a total failure. His presidency was premised on restoring institutions and stability, and so many of the wins achieved have already been undone by Trump (as well as 50+ years of progress).
