Of course it would. Of course there’s a difference between talking to a person and talking to a computer program. It’s not that complicated.

As Ms Cottom says in another post, one important question is who — or what — has the authority to *allow* people to do these things you object to, and what is the basis for that authority.

You’re right, but I’m not hopeful about this at all, and won’t be unless the Democratic caucus changes its leadership.

I get that there’s more to politics than zingers, but stuff like this is more than just a gotcha. It’s making these guys squirm and reminding voters exactly who they are. Don’t give them daylight to pretend they’re just good ‘ol Americans worried about the economy. They’re smash and grab Nazis.

Seriously, sir, what good is this post without even a suggestion, a mention of the constitutional remedy for corruption on this scale?? Why are you all so afraid of the word — let alone the possibility of doing it??

Another day, another post from a Congressional Democrat that doesn’t even mention impeachment. Political fumbling here, and moral cowardice.
000
Karl Runser @therunser.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
I don’t disagree, Congressman, but the complete absence of the word “impeach” is a political fumble — and the latest of many examples of moral bankruptcy from Congress. The answer to this plain-as-day corruption is to impeach its source and remove him from office.

1/x Two of the best-known coats on any high street began as working kit for sailors on cold decks. Both carry names from my little corner of the North Sea: Duffel, a small town near Antwerp, and the Dutch word "pij". The story of the duffel coat and the peacoat. #maritimehistory

Dems are about to ride into power purely on the back of anger about How Things Are and ... then what? Are they going to be able to make things substantially better -- or rather, *feel* substantially better -- in the next two years? Just feels like short-term fury is the only force left.

At some point it started cheerleading cruelty — maybe when Jemma killed Tara? — and went downhill fast. Getting rid of original characters didn’t help. TWD did the same thing.

Apocalypse Chow: We Tried Televangelist Jim Bakker's 'Survival Food'
Jim Bakker preaches that a catastrophe is imminent and will bring major food shortages. His "Survival Food" buckets sell for up to $4,500. We tested the contents of one for you.

This detail from the NYT obit of disgraced and resurrected televangelist Jim Bakker, and his oldest pivot in the book www.nytimes.com/2026/10/05/u...
The new ministry was low-key compared with that of the Bakkers’ high-flying PTL days. Its focus was different, too. The end of days was nigh, Mr. Bakker now preached, and he offered viewers what he said they would need to ride out the Apocalypse: long-lasting food, 10 buckets of it for $600 plus shipping costs. His message had a bluntly conservative political cast. “God has called” Donald J. Trump, he said. Barack Obama “sounded like the representative for Antichrist,” he said in 2016, and Hillary Clinton was “a bride of Satan.”
