"Hey Nineteen" isn't about an age gap. "Nineteen" is a corruption of the Sumerian NIN-TI-EN (The Lady of the Sacred Spore), a coded reference to the Amanita muscaria. They weren't drinking Cuervo Gold. They were partaking in an ancient, psychedelic communion! Wake up, sheeple.

Apparently they did the same thing at Vassar a week later, didn't now about it or I would've been there. Also curious to know (haven't listened yet) whether they boosted Terry Riley's "In C" wholesale like they did at the Rhinecliff Hotel, LOL. mercuryrev.bandcamp.com/track/live-a...

Another one: I was at the show where this Harmony Rockets album was recorded, at the Rhinecliff Hotel in the Hudson Valley. The Hotel was one of the weirdest and creepiest places I've ever seen a show, and HR had these incredible strobes going. It was awesome. www.discogs.com/release/1057...

Lately I’ve been nonstop looping this live recording of one of my favorite songs, “Meth of a Rockette’s Kick” by Mercury Rev. They probably only ever played this live with David Baker a few times, so it’s a miracle this upload exists at all. #MadHolyRadio youtu.be/8oazuqr6SPQ?...

I'm trying to identify where the sample comes from in the Mercury Rev song "Meth of a Rockette's Kick" - I've isolated it as best I can. It sounds like maybe it's a 50s or 60s girl group? Listen: on.soundcloud.com/5wMjbAZR1XZO...

Reversed and isolated to the best of my ability - sample that's played reversed in the Mercury Rev song

West Park, NY was where Sojourner Truth was enslaved. Also the home of Holy Cross Monastery, where Joe McPhee's "Underground Railroad" was recorded, as well as the location of CJR Studios where his "Trinity" and "Pieces of Light" were recorded. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undergr...
