It’s funny, they called it ADD back when the understanding was that it was JUST “brats who couldn’t sit still” and when they later added hyperactivity into the name, the diagnosis began to include issues with executive function, dopamine, etc. (The 80s were a rough time to be a struggling IEP kid.)
