Looking back at this season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds feels like they really squandered opportunities left and right. They abandoned a lot of the core values of Trek for neoliberal pablum and nostalgia-mining. It's the same thing happening everywhere in society, but Trek used to be a bastion.
