A cute & quick* drawing to test out my new graphics tablet. Since I'm always thinking about our D&D campaign, I couldn't resist drawing @ksandrarpg.bsky.social 's half-orc paladin, Ulda reacting to my eldritch knight's Totally Not Evil™️ magic weapon!** #dnd #DungeonsandDragons #dndart

Digital drawing of a half-orc woman wearing an expression of disgust and concern while looking at sword that gives off rancid vibes.

This is the truth. I also have a susspicion that the funding campaign split between Kickstarter and Backerkt has had a negative impact on small/hobby creators (esp given how hard the latter push the capitalistic aspects of the process).

These 3 beautiful Iron Lung & Project Hail Mary prints by @ iatepebbles (on Instagram) arrived! These photos do not do them justice! Their Instagram is here: www.instagram.com/iatepebbles

3 art prints.
Left is Simon from Iron Lung with the faint shadow of the eel looming over his shoulder.
Centre is an Iron Lung print that captures the gross, fleshy, eldritch and body horror of the film.
On the right is Grace and Rocky from Project Hail Mary, shown in the style Rocky's echolocation was portrayed in the film. A star is on Grace's forehead, a line leading from it to another star in the centre of Rocky. Above them it reads "you are very brave".

Close up of the Iron Lung print. It captures the gross, fleshy, eldritch and body horror of the film. There are many stringy pieces of gore and protruding, needle like teeth throughout the composition. Several small portraits of Simon are fanned out across the top of the image. The pendant holding the last seed can be seen on the left, and in the centre is the small pale figure of the blood eel. Text on the left hand side reads: "Even the iron still / fears the rot, / hiding from something / I cannot stop. Walking on shadows / I cant lead her back."

If, by the end of a story, I can't (with at least some confidence) categorise the characters into an unhinged meme that's entirely unrelated to the plot, can I even safely say I understand said characters at their very cores?

A triangular scale meme where you can record the most likely response to children yelling: "MCDONALDS! MCDONALDS! MCDONALDS!"
The three response options are:
"We have food at home."
Also yelling "MCDONALDS! MCDONALDS! MCDONALDS!"
And, in asterisks, "pulls into the drive through as children cheer. Orders single black coffee and leaves."

It's been *checks notes* 10 months since I started the damn thing, but I've finally got to a point with this #drawing of my #D&D character where I'm happy to call the sketch done! Love traumatising my lil Eldritch Knight~! 🖤 (Feed this to AI and I will feed you to the fucking hags)

A pencil drawing of a character who has a crown of antlers curling out from their temples, around their forehead. She is kneeling in a tunnel, mournfully crying out as she holds the dead body of a child. Around them are several scattered corpses, several with roots piercing through their flesh. Above this scene, the tunnel fades into a forest scene, where three nightmarish, withered hags loom over the figure, each with its own crown of antlers, the same as the character they are tormenting.

saw this post years ago and will never ever forget it. sometimes you need to tend to the place from which you create, before you can create again

Screenshot of a tumblr post by user aureliobooks that reads: My dad likes to call the stretches of time where you’re not creating “dreaming periods” and says that they’re meant to allow you to absorb all of the beauty, life, and inspiration from the things around you so that when you’re able to create again, you will have fanned your spark back into a flame. Sometimes its hard to see those moments as anything but stagnation, but he always says that they’re natural and healthy and needed—things that should be embraced rather than feared.

Was looking through one of my human anatomy art books for reference images and wanted to share Eucharius Rösslin's iconic 16th century illustration that I'm choosing to nickname 'skydiving toddler-fetus'.

An illustration from the 16th century depicting various pre-birth fetal positions. At the top left there is a baby (that frankly looks more like a much older child) that almost appears to be doing a belly flop, with it's arms and legs thrown up behind it, while its belly is pointed downwards.

I don't think we tell people often enough what they mean to us, perhaps because we are simply caught up in everyday life or maybe for fear of being misinterpreted and making someone uncomfortable. Valid concerns, but also life is short and vulnerability can often catalyze greater connection.
