It’s definitely a net positive that the Player-GM dynamic is less confrontational now. But I’ve seen far too many promising young GMs burn out because they never got used to the authoritative role of GMing. Because they were afraid to say “No” to their Players even when it was justified.

Finished Steven Universe Future today, which means I’m now done with the whole series. Damn good show. Really liked Future. Really loved how it explored the psychological effects of being a kid hero in a long running TV show and being so unashamedly an epilogue to the show rather than an Epic Ending

The “I’m afraid I can’t do that” line has become iconic, of course. I knew it was coming, so that scene didn’t unsettle me too much. But I was utterly unprepared to hear HAL beg for his life before being unplugged. It was a hard scene to watch.

So, the most interesting thing about this game (of which there are many) is that it very deliberately tackles something that gets a lot of conversational support but ends up being a lot more complicated to pull off in practice, and that's positive, contributory adventuring.
