For a DM. Audacity used to ALWAYS display arrow buttons on the left & right side of the horizontal scroll bar (1st image). Newer versions (3.7.7) don't display arrows unless the pointer is moved in the scroll bar space (2nd image, pointer is elsewhere). Takes longer to find them and click on them.

No left arrow on the horizontal scroll bar.

Is there any detailed AI scenario where it takes over the world? How is AI, running in a data center, going to do anything in the real world? How can it open doors, mix chemicals, build a tank? It can't by itself. (to start) Humans are necessary. Humans + AI can wreak havoc. AI alone cannot.

bsky.app/profile/qjur... Why are we using USPS to send out ballots? If election officials sent out ballots via UPS, Amazon, or FedEx, they'd get to voters w/o USPS screening for citizenship. Per-ballot cost shouldn't be very high if elec officials pre-sort, like magazines use do do.

I expect the country to be ungovernable after the mid-terms. Trump will use any means at his disposal to prevent Democrats from taking the House or Senate. It'll be ugly. Declarations of emergencies, troop on the streets, ICE repurposed as ballot security teams. I hope I'm wrong about this.

USPS’s job is to deliver the mail even if some mailed ballots genuinely are fake, illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid. It’s on election administrators to catch and reject those, and they do. USPS has no role in it and the very idea mucks up the systems we actually have for election integrity.
