Had to do a site visit in the Berkshires today. Rte 9 west has lovely fall leaf color. Not as spectacular as some years (was cloudy also), but pretty. Rte 8 to 112 to Noho was not quite as far along. Driving, so no photos. My favorite seem to be along swampy bits on Rte 8.

Butterbutt. An older comic.
A four-panel comic titled "yellow-rumped warbler poem". In panel 1, a yellow-rumped warbler stands on a branch in a late autumn scene, and says "Fall is here." In panel 2, the warbler watches a brown leaf fall to the ground, and says "Winter's near." In panel 3, the warbler faces the viewer as brown leaves fall, and says "Need some cheer?" In panel 4, the warbler is showing its luminous yellow rump, and cheerfully says "See my rear."

This documents what I always tell people who ask me if they should go to law school: The billable hours number is a lie. I needed to bill 8 hours a day, but I was typically in the office for 11. Part of that was my own inefficiency, but most of it was the non-billable other stuff I still had to do.

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Green approaches Blue, who is nestled comfortably within a large purple bean bag chair.
Green: How's the bean bag chair?
Blue: Comfy.

Blue watches in silent horror as Green jumps into the air, about to dive into the chair as well.
Green: Make way!

As Green dives in, Blue is launched into the air by the force of Green's landing.

Now cozied up in the bean bag chair, Green watches as Blue flies off in the distance, barely visible as a shred of colour on the sky.
