Jon Ossoff is treating Mike Collins like beating him in the election isn't enough and he wants Collins to not be welcome in public life or decent society. Which is exactly how this whole class of Republicans should be treated.

To me, it's 2008-2026, it doesn't stop at 2018. It stops when you punish them for everything they gained until the day you sentence them.

The real sham is that everyone's playing and acting like it's all normal until the appeal process is over. They're cheats and I don't know how I'm going to stomach football itself if this is the feeling everytime they'll play.

This - I'm still so invested in every Arsenal game but the overall picture is numbing. There's no point in looking at the league, especially for us, with only *them* ahead of us. The harm this is doing to the whole game in this country can't be ignored, even if the broadcasters try to make us.

Always delighted to win when we play "badly", we looked to click only for those goals, we could have scored 5 today and we didn't get out of 2nd gear, imagine when we hit full stride.

It's very clear that doping/cheating, didn't magically stop at 2018, if anything it had even stronger effects and enabled Man City to buy and sell at a much stronger pace.

Liverpool have a very strong argument in Klopp's years too, if both Klopp and Arteta get those medals, it absolutely changes their legacies + value, and puts Pep's value where it belongs. Not just with a footnote, but with a dose of justice.

I've seen a lot of ex-player/pundits say they don't think clubs who finished 2nd should be awarded the PL trophies, but this may be the wrong approach. Arteta's Arsenal finished 2nd 3/5 seasons and a clear 2nd at that, we would definitely have won the league if Man City were not doping, it's a fact.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

From Etihad's "RESPONSE TO CLAIMS RAISED ABOUT STATE-OWNED AIRLINES" filed with the US gov. in 2015. "The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad’s sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is [...] false".
The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad’s sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is equally false. In 2011, Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10 year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City’s stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity. It is not uncommon for airlines to have sponsorships with sports teams and their venues.

The "think of the jobs and investment we'd lose" argument for City really breaks down when you use it in other contexts. Apply it to dictatorships. Nope. Crony capitalism? Nah. Illegal drug dealers? Nyet. Hmm... seems like it doesn't apply at all when the underlying feature is corruption & crime.

Really amused by the idea that the Premier League can't relegate Man City in case the league loses prestige, it's built on corruption, if it it loses prestige for getting rid of serial cheats then so be it.

These are very strong arguments, but it's depressing that both Klopp and Arsene left without solidifying their legacy, and essentially losing to corruption.
