Let this sink in. Cornell University refused to refund Jane Doe's tuition the semester she was raped. Without this money, she could not transfer to another school. Essentially, she was forced to stay on campus where she saw those seven rapists frequently. Eventually she dropped out of college.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

As someone with a mild form of narcolepsy, I can say that it has been devastating. Knowing that I will never wake up in the morning feeling rested, that I will always require significantly more sleep than most people, that without medication I’d be fighting to stay awake during the day. It’s awful.

Younger me was fixated on how I was perceived by others. I think I was trying to convince others that I was successful so that, in turn, maybe I’d feel worthy of that success. Eventually I realized how little my actual happiness was tied to my career and external validation. My priorities evolved.
