Web developers! Do you use html forms? Do you let forms submit or just use them for UI and call fetch()? Don’t use forms? Tell me why. Do? Tell me what’s painful. Let’s see if we can fix it!

The lie here is suggesting that "9% of @bsky.app users are active daily" is the same measurement as "9% of @wsocial.eu users have ever posted more than once". #Wsocial 's actual DAU is less than 1%. This is how propaganda works. Tell little lies often enough and eventually it sounds like truth.

TODAY'S COMIC: Someone! www.sheldoncomics.com/comic/someone/
PANEL 1: A tubby, bald man wearing a white collared shirt, with a blue and orange striped tie, holds a AR-type riffle with one hand, shooting into the air. The bright yellow light casts harsh shadows on him.
MAN: Please! Someone stop this weapon that I’m clearly shooting!

PANEL 2: The man bends over to reload the weapon with a “KLAK” sound.
MAN: The weapon keeps reloading itself, with SERO INVOLVEMENT FROM ME!

PANEL 3: The man continues to shoot in to the air.
MAN: I have no agency here! Nothing that I could do —SAY WITH MY OWN FINGERS — could end this!

PANEL 4: The man, still shooting the gun, turns his back, still yelling over his shoulder.
MAN: WHY IS NOBODY STOPPING THIS THING I KEEP DOING???
On the back of his shirt reads: LITERALLY EVERY A.I. COMPANY.

The real question is: if social media platforms are bad for our children, aren't they bad for the grown ups too? How about regulating them for *everyone* rather than limiting their access for kids? Australia tried this already and it failed; now they're trying regulating those platforms instead.

While working on a project, I paused a bit to style an icon + text. When the text is short, the icon is vertically centered. If the text wraps, the icon is aligned with the first line. ishadeed.com/article/alig... This is a result of using lh, aspect-ratio, height: auto, flexbox and more.
A screenshot from one demo shows controls for icon, font and list. In the middle, there is a checkmark icon next to "How to align an icon to a label".
