Do you use the HTML `<meter>` element? If so when do you use it, and what kinda styling do you use? If you don't use it, are there use cases where you would but don't for some reason? If so what are those reasons.

Do you make websites? What do you wish <select> listbox did? Or didn’t do? This is the HTML. Currently, it automatically creates a listbox with 4 options showing. <select id="foobar" multiple> If you want 6 items showing, you write <select id="foobar" multiple item="6">. What should it be?

It looks like Google is finally working on a way to support third-party browsers being able to install proper APKs for web apps. This is generally something that only Chrome can do currently. There's very little public documentation and it still seems quite early, but there's a new WebAppManager API

Importing and exporting passkeys and passwords is now available on Android. This resolves the security risks of legacy plaintext CSV exports and the inability to migrate passkeys across providers through secure, OS-level peer-to-peer data transfer.

On Friday I finally got down to Eastleach to see the Long-Tailed Shrike that had been resident this summer. Then on Saturday despite being very wet and windy, and low tide I managed to find the Baird's Sandpiper near Swansea. 20 lifers for the year. 3 for the week! #BirdingWales

Why do companies (Google) insist on randomly discontinuing functionality from their software?? I've been using Google drive on my Mac to sync photos from an SD card to Google photos for years now. But nope not anymore now I have to use their sites much jankier capability instead.

Am I the only one who thinks, actually the alert system should be used for something more useful than "you're about to die lol"? Sure it's common sense that the country is dry and fire is bad, but people are still using BBQs and camping stoves and smoking cigarettes so it's clearly not so common. 🤷🏻‍♂️
