The University of Dundee is failing to comply with information governance law. This is due to a reduction of staffing in the team responsible. Staff reached zero in 2026. Compliance issues will become more and more regular if the current redundancies are approved by Court. Say no to redundancies.

it has to be explained Eva Figes, from ‘Nelly’s Version’
My situation was, to say the least, uncomfortable. I began by scrutinising the menu, but once I had ordered I felt exposed, particularly on my right flank. I studied my finger nails (cut short and unvarnished), consulted my watch (a gold one of conventional design which I suspected, rightly as it turned out, of being quite tiresomely accurate) and from time to time glanced out at the riverscape beyond the pane as though it were a famous painting with which I had long been familiar: I was doing no more than making sure that it matched up to my memory of it, that the surface had not cracked, that it had not been stolen. Meanwhile I pressed my knees and ankles together and hoped that the bottom half of my body was totally concealed by the draped ends of the table-cloth. I must, I thought, bring in a newspaper or, better still, a book, to appear to give me some sense of purpose, if I go on having to dine alone. Instinct, or some remnant of a previous existence, told me that being an unaccompanied woman in a public place is no joke: it has to be explained.

Below is a short, well written history of some uniquely clever Icelandic sheep. Here are photos of the “Leader Sheep” in question, and the black volcanic sands which can make traveling with a herd so dangerous. #Iceland #Sheep #Vikings
Photos of a large, hairy Icelandic Leader Sheep bred for intelligence and courage. They have large, curving horns, black and white faces and dark wool. Photo taken in Iceland of a valley of black rocks and black volcanic sand with green, moss covered hills rising in the distance. One large hill has a waterfall (as so many do here) It is a beautiful, stark part of the country.

Iceland has very few trees as most were cut down by Viking settlers. There is a movement on to rebuild the forests but it is slow going.

Anytime any semblance of a 'balanced' debate requires you to 'prove' your humanity... walk away. Just walk away. Anything that raises a human's humanity as part of a 'legitimate' argument will never be convinced. Its premises are already illegitimate. Engaging legitimises those premises.
