2nd check in on surgery follow up yesterday,and things are still looking good. B4 at home i could only dilate to the 4 dot on my dilator, but was encouraged to breathe and relax and push hard to reach the 5th dot And today i was actually able to reach it! So now I've got more depth than i thought!

Day 1 of doing dilation by myself at home! And now realizing just how much this is gonna rule my life for the foreseeable future! Setting aside three 30 minute chunks everyday for a year like my surgeon recommends is gonna be a huge time commitment.

Got my packing, catheter, and wound vac removed today. And got a first look at my new anatomy. Everything was quite bloody and swollen, but the doc thought everything looked good. Doing more bedrest and getting to start dilation!

Every transfem needs to know this. Quit nicotine. It's worse for us than usual because it interferes with estrogen receptors! This can delay breast growth and other physical changes, and cause chronic fatigue because you don't have enough functional hormones.
