Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:

Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands

Don't be left behind

and this is on *the* train line which brought bike-and-train commuting to the US. bike/train riders aren't fringe users. being able to take your bike with you is one of the most important parts of using caltrain for a lot of riders.

got onto this line of thinking again talking with someone at muni heritage weekend about how for all their flaws, caltrain's gallery cars had more bike capacity & allowed bike owners to see their bikes from their seat, tangible benefits over the bombardiers and EMUs

Broadside and his nephews. #maccadam #transformers
Broadside carrying the aerial bots in his aircraft carrier altmode. He reminds me of a mother possum.four panels demonstrating broadside hanging out with each aerialbot individually.

panel 1: Broadside and Slingshot bonding over their big ass foreheads.

panel 2: Broadside and Skydive peacefully resting in a big grassy field. Skydive is reading a book with his back resting on Broadside, who is laying on his back.

panel 3: Air Raid looks up to Broadside
Air Raid: "I'm gonna be a wrecker just like you!"
Broadside, sweating: "Haha, dear Primus, please don't."

panel 4: Fireflight observes a small flock of birds, he does not notice that he is about to crash on a mountain.
Fireflight: "Look, Broadside! These earthlings have flight formations too!"
Broadside: "FIREFLIGHT LOOK OUT!!"Silverbolt: "Did you know I am afraid of heights? Embarrassing, huh?"

Broadside: "OH, no way!! Me too!!"

Silverbolt: "...what"

Broadside: "I also get seasick all the time!"A sequence of images showing Broadside removing his "helmet"

His helmet is a reference to his final model that is on his original G1 toy, while his actual head is based on his prototype model.

I know this'll ruffle feathers but I agree with this Food/Water watch analysis. Diverting renewable energy away from fossil phase-out and climate adaptation and towards melting graphics card to power chatbots is the formal end of moral purpose for clean technology.
Data Centers With Renewables Aren’t the Answer
So all these power plants and “temporary” turbines are raising power prices and polluting our communities. Why don’t we just power data centers with renewables?

Many data center companies are pledging to (eventually) do just that. But even if these pledges weren’t just empty greenwashing promises, powering data centers with clean energy is utterly unrealistic. It also threatens the progress of our already dangerously slow energy transition.

Continuously powering a 1 GW data center would require nearly 20,000 acres of solar panels or 185,000 acres of onshore wind power. We cannot afford to waste the time, space, or money to build renewables for Big Tech’s profit machines.

Already, data center growth is outstripping available renewable energy supply and redirecting renewables from other industries. It’s drawing urgently needed renewables from existing technologies and resources. We need to focus our renewable energy resources toward thos

You may only think the National Highway System are interstates, but *tons* of urban streets are part of it. This bill would eliminate the bike lanes on Market St in SF, Telegraph Avenue in Oakland, the BRAND NEW 14th St bike lanes in Oakland, and many more key bike corridors.

PGE is working on replacing the original 1907 high-tension power pylons along the Springwater Corridor. As a researcher, I use them to orient myself with photos along the line: the tall metal pylons are always on the southern side of the tracks.
Old interurban car 1101 waits for inbound car 4012 to pass it at Kendall station, June 21, 1953. The tall metal high-tension pylon seen to the right tells us that this view is looking east (outbound) along the line as it is located on the southern side of the tracks.
