I ranked the 10 best views in San Francisco. Probably most notable for the big one that I left on the honorable mentions. (No regrets.) How many have you seen? Until exploring the city became my job circa 2018, I had only experienced 4 of the 10 on this list. www.sfchronicle.com/project/sf-b...

Some incredible ice cream sandwich journalism from @taraduggan.bsky.social with an assist from J.D. Morris. Did beloved local treat provider It’s It change its mint formula? And what does it have to do with … RFK Jr.? www.sfchronicle.com/food/article...

S.F.’s favorite It’s-It ice cream sandwich has changed for the first time in decades. Here’s why
Fans started noticing a change in the signature, garish color of It’s-It mint ice cream sandwich. Quietly, the Bay Area company had tweaked its iconic treat.

I've been looking at this BART Golden Gate Bridge image for years. Finally checked to see what 1960s engineers had to say. Was the bridge built for trains? Could BART safely run on the bridge? And how would trains get there? (An elevated track on Lombard?) 🚆 🌁 www.sfchronicle.com/totalsf/arti...

I decided years ago to stop reacting with shock when someone said they hadn’t seen a particular movie, instead adopting Ebert’s “I envy you getting to see it for the first time.”And I’m glad I did, because I hate receiving the shock reaction. Hey, guess what:there are movies I haven’t seen. Bunches.

The hottest ticket of the summer in the Bay Area isn’t an arena concert, IMAX screening or three-day music festival. It’s a free, history-filled, ferry voyage. Good luck getting on board.
