Today's the day! Jump on Trains 503, 508, 516 and 519 to enjoy the new Amtrak Cascades trains. Super comfy seats. Tray tables in Triplicate - not even kidding! Adjustable cupholders. There is nothing like that new train smell.💚🤎🤍
A shiny new green, mocha and cream-colored train sits at a station on a sunny day.
A pair of comfy business class seats are on either side of a narrow table aboard a new Amtrak Cascades Train.
The interior of the cafe onboard the new Amtrak Cascade trains. Self-service options are visible, as is staff working behind the counter to provide hot food. The cafe is spacious and accessible.
A look down the aisle of coach class, which includes accessible seating areas for passengers using wheelchairs. The seats are gray and the room around them is spacious.

Surely SOMEBODY on this site has a strong recommendation for an excellent high performance exterior chaulk/sealant I can use? Doesn't somebody work in this industry?

Generally speaking I do need AI boosters to understand that I’ve lost my career and future plans entirely to AI-based cost cutting. so any time you’re talking about tech you have to understand people whose livelihoods were destroyed by a thing they didn’t choose to adopt they’re gonna be prickly lol

I think where I’m at as an ex-programmer/ex-techie is that the current economic incentives underpinning the US means that AI is going to basically be poisonous to most people until we can change the incentives. Like, example, I’m a huge car enthusiast but allowing GM to rip out streetcars in the 30s

The oldest car I've ridden in was a 1914 Trumbull cyclecar. The company had one of the most dramatic ends of any car company in history. On may 1st, 1915, 20 Trumbulls and the president of the company, Isaac Trumbull, boarded the Lusitania. Isaac, and the cars, and the company did not survive.

Southern Pacific #332 waits for passengers at the Thousand Oaks Wye in Albany, by Solano Avenue — c. 1934 The intersection of Colusa & Solano Ave. was a junction and terminal for two S.P. interurban lines. A small waiting room and crew shack could be found, amidst the bustling city of Albany.

Clearly a bridge too far on the Miscreant Valley Railroad as SP No. 20, “Bizzie”, hovers above the eventual Taupin Creek. Close to laying the golden spike on the MVRy mainline, just have to… construct a bridge now. #hotrains #modeltrains

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Skydivers alert emergency crews, assist after plane crashes near East Troy airport
Four people were aboard the single-engine plane when it went down in a cornfield near Carvers School Road in East Troy at about 1:30 p.m.

The Convair 58-9 SST Concept, directly derived from the B-58 Hustler, would have been very unsuitable as a supersonic transport: -narrow fuselage limits seat number -podded engines cause high drag -uneconomical fuel consumption to cruise at Mach 2.4
