Also as part of the fall foliage festival weekend, my Alpine Tunnel display has been set up for the weekend at Catamount Arts, a local nonprofit visual and performing arts center! It’s part of larger train themed activities around town in addition to the foliage train ride ran by VRS.

Thomas and Friends: Railway Stories - The 2026 reboot sees a slight update in Thomas' design while for the most part being a return to form. Say what you will about the reboot but Farmer McColl. Just Farmer McColl.

All Engines Go : Series 1, Episode 26 'No Power, No Problem' - Thomas and his friends are taking passengers through a tunnel but the lights are out. This is no problem for Kana the electric engine!

BBC 'The Three Railway Engines' Broadcast (1953) - Henry famously derails at the start of the program and is rerailed by hand, on screen, for all the nation to see on live television! Needless to say, it would be a long time before Thomas and Friends had another chance at television.

Thomas and Friends: Series 9, Episode 6 - Respect for Gordon - With Gordon away at the works, Henry and Emily take turns doing his job of pulling the express. They enjoy it at first but grow tired from the hard work and begin to miss their friend.

Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) 7449 led a westbound east of Woodford, CA in the Tehachapi Mountains near milepost 350, on Sunday, May 14, 1989.
ATSF 7449 was a GE B40-8. Reportedly it was built in 1989 as ATSF 7449 B40-8 serial number 45950, the last engine of the 7410 class. In 1995 it was wrecked at Tejon, NM and was repaired. It was renumbered BNSF 8639 in 2000 and subsequently became BNSF 597.
