People who've never made a television or radio programme and don't seem to even grasp what broadcasting is are in charge of winding down the BBC. Let's have an AI that tells you to watch another quiz! There'll be another teal-core cop show where half the characters never meet in a few months!

'I know of the leafy paths that the witches take Who come with their crowns of pearl and their spindles of wool, And their secret smile, out of the depths of the lake' -W. B. Yeats 🎨Walter Crane #BookWormSat
Artwork of a woman standing in the wind, autumn leaves. A bit of a witchy atmosphere, in my opinion.

10 October 1963. Édith Piaf died (aged 47). Known as the "Little Sparrow" (La Môme Piaf), she rose from singing on the streets of Paris to global superstardom. Her most famous signature song was the defiant "Non, je ne regrette rien" ("No Regrets"),

A meme showing a blond woman standing by a partly open door, with a vampire behind the door.
The vampire asks "Can I come in?" The lady answers "I don't know, can you?"
Cursing quietly, the vampire backed away, foiled yet again by the English teacher's pedantry.

My heart sank when the appalling Lisa Nandy oversaw the installation of Google TechBro Matt Brittin over two women candidates who were programme makers with a good track record. This is another crass and wrong headed decision which disproportionately harms the BBC’s unique value. Awful.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

#WindowsOnWednesday The Texas Tower, my favourite ominous, evil-looking #skyscraper that's straight out of SciFi movies like The Matrix or Blade Runner. #ECK #Architecture #UrbanGaze #StreetPhotography #Photography #Photographers #CityScapes #GeometricShapes #ColorADay #BlueTue #TextureTuesday
Photo of a striking modern glass skyscraper shot from a dramatic low-angle perspective, emphasizing its soaring verticality against a turbulent, dark sky. The architecture is defined by its clean, geometric lines and a grid-like curtain wall of blue tinted glass panels that form sharp, overlapping rectangular volumes. The defining characteristic of the image is its intense contrast; the deep, brooding storm clouds create a moody backdrop that sharply contrasts with the skyscraper's reflective surface. Bright sunlight pierces through the gloom, catching the edges of the building to create brilliant, glowing highlights, while casting deep shadows across its recessed sections.
