Chesterton and The Dandelion. having nothing better to do I have spent a little time trawling through old videos and notes to find this little pamphlet I created a few years ago. Very fuzzy recall now except one twin prince had a mole placed on his cheek at birth by the villain who came after him when he was grown up to take him down to the underworld. Have slept with the covers pulled tight over my own cheek mole ever since. 010

Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 04/10/2026And a chance to settle down to hear the complaints against Reynard with a glass of King Noble's Special Whitsun Clary. (Well, at least a good red (if not from Gascony), with a splash of clear honey, ginger and cinnamon added so if not totally authentic it'll do) Once shared with my little shadow. 171
Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Reminds me of this... Overlooking fish sands, where the cobles once landed with their catch, is a Headland story trail post with a strange little ditty about Fish Annie who would wander round the Town selling fish from a pram. Often it was none too fresh. Still selling in 1961 aged 75 I’m told. 080

Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I walked out this Sunday morning under the light of the moon and a glitter of stars. Orion above me. Pin-prick sharp amongst hazy beginnings. Early wander in the damp coolness, breeze brushing my face. The weather a barometer to my thoughts absorbed with light, water, wind, warmth... or lack of it. 2180

Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 02/10/2026This is the way we walked… Chill in the air, stars in a clear sky, sea calm. Oystercatchers below the sea wall. Wild geese overhead. And another awesome sunrise. (There was a kind of lonely sadness about the window. The house empty. Beyond the glass a wreck of a kitchen. The sign a reminder.) 071

Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 01/10/2026The old arch frames the morning as the slipway steps take each slap of sea before it shatters into spray. Beyond, the lighthouse on the Pilot Pier stands silent against the tide’s weight pressing the sea wall. 6624
Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 01/10/2026After our morning rambles these last few days with the moon still bright in the sky, I stood staring for more than just a moment in time. Laine Thompson @marlinhoister.bsky.social · 28/09/2026This morning I stood looking at the moon wondering what she made of humanity. All those years orbiting Earth, watching the slow evolution of everything. The first life, plants, vertebrates, dinosaurs, mammals, birds. Mass extinction events. And along comes man…yet another weapon of mass destruction. 2123
