Russia's largest real estate developer by square meters of housing being built SAMOLET has defaulted on its bonds today. It paid only 269,1 rubles out of the 1000 ruble coupon for its bonds. The company claims on the following day it paid in full.

If I interpreted the Reuters reporting correctly, then Russia's latest budget plan requires raising about 170bn rub per week from borrowing, from now on. Let's use this as the reference point to judge how well they're doing at upcoming OFZ bond auctions.

STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY WITH CANADA
The Government of Heard Island expresses its profound disappointment following the failure of recent U.S.-Canadian trade negotiations and the imposition of 50% tariffs upon Canadian goods.
Having ourselves been unexpectedly introduced to American tariff policy, Heard Island stands firmly with Canada.
Effective immediately, Canada is offered exclusive preferential rights to Heard Island's future sustainable fisheries, scientific facilities, cold-weather rescarch, and responsibly collected guano.
Canadian vessels are hereby granted Most Favoured Flock status, including priority access to Heard Island waters and exemption from all tariffs imposed by this Government - which, admittedly, is none.
Canadian universities and scientists are likewise invited to establish a permanent research mission. They will be welcomed warmly, insofar as anything here can reasonably be described as warm.
Canada and Heard Island share much: vast wilderness, unreasonable weather, an abundance of ice, and increasingly complicated relations with the nation immediately to Canada's south.

Russian predictions are that by November the price of 3rd class wheat in Russia will drop to under 7500 rubles and there will be mass bankruptcies. The given government intervention seems to slightly larger than the increased carryover grain this year vs last year.

Putin signed a decree transferring the Russian assets of Metro to external management by the company UK Torg RUS, a company registered 20 days ago. This means there is no longer a Russian division of Metro it was seized.
