Evening bump!! Behold, the Bonnet-Teach first family vacay ✨️✨️✨️ Pez did an incredible job portraying this beautiful family 💛💛💛 #ofmd #ofmdfanart #StepDadEdWeek

Fanart of a family photo collage featuring the Bonnet-Teach first big family vacation. There are six photos, the one on the top left shows Ed and Alma pushed up against the glass staring at the kelp family and fishes with huge eyes and hearts surrounding them. The bottom left photo is a shot of Louis and Alma showing their silhouettes, standing in front of the jellyfish tank. The top middle photo shows the family hugging a sequoia tree. The bottom middle photo shows a Kraken Adventure picture with everyone pretending their being captured by purple kraken tentacles. Ed is pretending to faint, Louis is on top of a tentacle wearing a pink snail headband, Alma is hanging off a tentacle and Stede is upside on a tentacle. The top right photo is of Louis and Alma petting rays in a tank. The bottom right is a shot of the family under the Monterey Bay sign. From left to right is Srede in a light blue sweater, khaki pants a fanny pack with a beautiful pink floral bird pattern. Louis stands next to him in a dark teal shirt, cargo shorts and his pink snail headband. Next to him is Alma, wearing light purple overalls with a while shirt. And the far right is Ed in his leather jacket, a bi pride pin on it, wearing his purple crop top, dark jeans, black boots and his purple new brace. Everyone is smiling and having a good time.

Shalamarr
Summary:
Ed straightened his shoulders. Fuck it. If anyone here has a problem with the
way I look, they can kiss my -
"Argh!". He jumped almost a foot in the air at the sensation of a hand slipping
into his. "What the fuuuuu...". He looked down, realized that the hand
belonged to a little boy, and hurriedly substituted "fiddlesticks."
The boy had a mop of curly golden hair, wide hazel eyes, and a beaming
smile. He tilted his head back to take Ed in properly from his low vantage
point and chirped "Hello, Kraken!".
This was written for Day 1 of Step Dad Ed Week ("First Meeting"). Yeah, I'm a
little late!
I was inspired by a post I saw recently on the Cursed Bird App That Shall
Remain Nameless. I won't post a link, but basically, it was from a guy who
found himself befriended by a little boy because, to the boy's mind, the guy's
leather jacket made him "friend shaped". The instant I read it, I said "That's
Ed and Louis." Hope you enjoy!

Apropos of nothing, Star Trek nerds might appreciate this #WIPWednesday snippet from my collab with @mahnah.bsky.social for @stepdaded.bsky.social! 🖖 🐋 😂

Screenshot of Black background, white text. Text reads:

“Where do you think they’ve hidden George and Gracie?” Stede asks, voice low in Ed’s ear.

Ed shivers. They’re sitting in some staggered bench seats in front of the Kelp Forest, a multi-story aquarium filled with towering golden-brown kelp and hundreds of remarkable creatures, sunlight making the water shimmer blue-green. It’s probably not cool to make out while an unsuspecting aquarium employee gives a lecture about leopard sharks, but Ed wants to. He really wants to. And Stede knows exactly what he’s doing, by the smug look on his face when Ed glances at him.

“What, you don’t see them?” says Ed, letting his voice go a bit grumbly. Stede gasps, just a little, and Ed smirks at him. He points at the aquarium. “Just there? You didn’t see? You can’t miss them!”

“Sorry, but I got distracted by another marvelous creature.”

Ed’s eyes go misty instantly. “Aw, babe.”

“Ssssh!” Alma hisses from in front of them.

Another stepdad Ed fic of mine- this one was written for the advent calendar event last year. Ed owns an inclusive holiday store, met Stede over an Elf on the Shelf emergency, and they were literally married within a month 😂 Then comes the hard (and wonderful) bit (co-parenting a tween) 🔗👇

Fishing for Magic
ClaireGregory
Summary:

Every year since they met at Ed's holiday store, Stede and Ed have gone all-out on their Elf on the Shelf mayhem to make the children's holidays that little bit more magical.

But this year, 12yo Alma's starting to lose her belief in the magic, and Ed and Stede are going to have to handle a whole new parenting milestone.

Giving my numbat camp fic a nod here- it's the /planning/ phase of a stepdad Ed future, you might say, with 14yo Alma trying to matchmake her favourite teacher Ed and her teacher dad Stede on a school camp. Things do not go as planned (but the stepdad status is an inevitability from day one) 👇🔗

Dependent Variables
ClaireGregory
Summary:

14yo Alma Bonnet is an aspiring scientist whose favourite teacher, Mr Teach, is taking them all on Numbat Camp to search for the endangered Australian marsupials. But Alma has a research design of her own, trying to matchmake Mr Teach with her science teacher dad. With help from best friends Ben and Sanya, she’ll try her hardest to shape the outcomes.

Hypothesis: Romance
Variables: Many
Numbats: To be determined

Things: Do not go as planned.
