Dumbfounded. These Ocean Temps are WILD! Surface ocean temps departure from normal. The Tropical Eastern Pacific El Niño region is +8-12°F. And we still have months of warming ahead of us! We have reached this intensity 3 months ahead of any other El Niño on record. It’s in its own Universe.

Earlier in the summer I presented a figure showing how a comparable weather event to the summer of 1976 would be experienced in a warmer current climate. It would be 3-4°C hotter, with London hitting 38°C. Yesterday, that is exactly what happened.

Imagine having your own gas pump at home & imagine a full tank costs about $7 bucks! That is what EV life is like for those of us who can plug in at home. Not everyone can do this, but if you are in the market for a car anyway & you have a driveway or can run an extension cord, I recommend an EV.

Oxford, the longest running continuous weather station in UK history, with temperature observations stretching back to 1815, has preliminarily broken its maximum temperature record for May yesterday by OVER 3ºC with a temperature of 33.7ºC. Unprecedented in its 211-year history.
