i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

I am fortunate enough to have a good relationship with my family, but my experience is that people who have been harmed by their families experience immense social pressure to maintain relationships with them if anything. It takes a lot for people to truly cut off family because that's such a taboo.
