Why is it _Democrats_ avoiding the question of impeachment? They already answered the question. Twice. The real question is, since they won’t be shamed or convinced by arguments of principle to impeach & convict, what else can be done to get Repubs to vote to convict?

VP Kamala Harris: The midterms are going to happen, and our ability to put people in Congress who will say no will be powerful and help right away. Why are they going through such effort to make it so difficult for people to vote? It's because they know your power and they're afraid of it.

As a result, the magistrate judge issues an order adjudging Ms. Coman's name CLEARED of the outrageous accusations made against her by DHS officials and Elon Musk. This is a very unusual circumstance, as such hearings are not common at all. But it seems very necessary here. The facts are out now.
Conclusion Armed only with false statements, high-ranking government officials undertook a premeditated campaign to impugn the personal and professional integrity of Ms. Comans, a nonpartisan, career public servant. Their intent was to disseminate false and derogatory information about Ms. Comans as widely as possible. To be clear, it was the stated position of the United States Government that Ms. Comans acted in a criminal manner with a criminal intent. That is untrue. Ms. Comans was publicly accused of knowingly and “egregiously” misspending federal funds. That is untrue. She was accused of laundering “forbidden funding.” That is untrue. She was accused of willfully violating a Presidential Executive Order, the orders of the DHS Secretary, circumventing leadership, and frustrating the will of the American people. That is untrue. She was accused of undermining public safety. That is untrue. Accordingly, for the reasons set forth herein the Court finds that the derogatory statements about Ms. Comans were objectively and demonstrably false, that many high-ranking government officials made these statements knowing they were false, and as to her conduct as the Chief Financial Officer of FEMA, Ms. Comans’ name is ADJUDGED CLEARED.

WOW. Kristi Noem and Elon Musk, among others, "chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an impeccable record of public service. ... The attacks against Ms. Comans were based entirely on false information" and many officials "knew [they] were untrue."
In conducting this hearing, the Court is not called upon to resolve factual disputes between
the parties. The facts set forth in this Memorandum Opinion and Order were proposed by the
Plaintiff, unobjected to by the Government, and then deemed admitted by the Court. Dkts. 74, 75,
77.2 These facts establish that high-ranking government officials, including then Secretary of DHS
Kristi Noem and Elon Musk, engaged in a coordinated public relations campaign to impugn the
personal and professional integrity of Ms. Comans. For reasons unfathomable to this Court,
officials chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an
impeccable record of public service. In short, Ms. Comans was professionally targeted and
personally attacked by government officials for no legitimate reason. The attacks against Ms.
Comans were based entirely on false information, and many government officials knew the
accusations were untrue at the time they were made. With no regard for the truth and with no
consideration for the personal and professional effect on Ms. Comans, government officials
exploited their access to mass media outlets to broadcast false information. These false
statements reached hundreds of millions of people. The purpose of this Order is, to the best of
this Court’s ability, to correct the public record and establish as a matter of law that the
statements made by these officials about Ms. Comans were objectively and demonstrably false.

Notably, Jarosław Wolski, the Polish political scientist who was a primary source of the AfD social media bot claim, has now retracted his statement and apologised (more of this, please!). German journalists have also confirmed the graph was fake and AI-generated.
Apologies and Correction.
I would like to apologize to all Readers for providing false information and a graphic suggesting that bot activity around AfD had dropped by 56%.
According to the findings of @niebezpiecznik, which cites the opinion of the Cemas research institute, the Hasso Plattner Institute, and the
"Polisphere" think tank, there has been no permanent and measurable decrease in pro-AfD posts. Moreover, the original graphic in German turned out to be Al-generated.
Unfortunately, my post with the disinformation reached millions of views, for which I would like to apologize to all readers once again. Of course, I take full responsibility for what I did, and simply and humanly, I am ashamed that I misinformed you. I also apologize to the contested opponents who were the first to point out that I was wrong.
To avoid further disinformation, I have deleted the post. From now on, in topics not strictly related to the military, I will adopt the principle of providing citations or original sources whenever possible. Or clearly stating their absence/unclear source of information so that it is visibly evident in the post.
JW.
Rate this translation:.! A German journalist has tracked down the original graphic that sparked a wave of controversial (to put it mildly, untrue) reports yesterday and today about a drop in activity from Russian bots/trolls.
He created it-"24-year-old steward Frank"—and marked it as ...generated by Al (which we already suspected yesterday).
Unfortunately, the politicians who shared this material further failed to keep that marking (intentionally or by accident 1ºr) and didn't indicate the source either.
What's more, the German research institute Cemas, which deals with disinformation, the Hasso Plattner Institute, and the Polisphere think tank have officially X denied observing any drop in the number of posts that could be explained by an attack on Yandex.
"Neither the activity of existing bots nor the rate of creating new ones has declined, as shown by the data we're collecting."
Well, those are data from Germany, though. Meanwhile, in Poland, Minister Siemoniak said that "ABW has noted a radical drop in the activity of Russian bots online. This is a phenomenon observed worldwide after the bombing of three data centers."
But ABW hasn't publicized anything on this matter so far. Here's hoping they do. That would be something!! For now, we know that "worldwide" apparently means everywhere except Germany...

An important bit of immigration law which is relevant here; there is already a waiver process — Section 212(k) of the INA — by which immigrants who obtain status through fraud that they didn't know about can avoid consequences like losing a green card. So this is *even weaker* than it already seems.

Screenshot of a quote-tweet. Kacey Musgraves (@KaceyMusgraves, verified) writes: "I don't think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it." She is quoting a tweet from Kristi Noem (@KristiNoem, verified) that reads: "I'll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day. And if I'm choosin' Texas, I'll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico." Noem's tweet includes a photo taken at a dimly lit venue. A smiling woman with long dark wavy hair, wearing a sparkly silver "DALLAS" crop top and jeans with a studded belt, holds a phone up for a selfie. Next to her is a smiling man in a dark button-up shirt. A man in a cowboy hat and tan shirt stands to the right looking at his phone, and a neon star sign glows in the background.
Shorter version:
Kacey Musgraves quote-tweets Kristi Noem, replying: "I don't think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it." Noem's original tweet says she'd take @ellalangleymsic over Musgraves and Ken Paxton over James Talarico, with a photo of a woman in a "DALLAS" crop top taking a selfie with a man at a dimly lit venue.
