I call BS. Who was surveyed? Most LGBTQ people I know (I’m GenX, so lived over half my life criminalized) ID as LGBT AND ALSO QUEER, because queer not only addresses sexuality, but also gender, & even cis gay people defy gender roles. Respectability politics never helped anyone. Language evolves.
