Needed to see the version history on a file in my OneDrive. Even though I am signed into the local OneDrive client, it asks me to authenticate when the browser opens. I have a passkey already, but then it also sent me a 2-factor text and now is requiring I add another email address, no skip options.
A microsoft signin dialog that clearly shows an email address at the top, asks for an email address, and rejects the email address that has been entered because it needs a NEW email address.

TiVo really sent this update saying "we are disabling the commercial autoskip but are pleased to share a new commercial autoskip service for additional fee". They've enshittified so badly I almost don't mind my TV provider is--later than most!--completely discontinuing CableCard support soon.
Screencap of an email reading:

Beginning November 2, 2026, the current version of SkipMode, using the Skip Button on your TiVo remote, will no longer be available. You will still be able to skip commercials manually using the 30-second skip and Fast Forward buttons on your remote.

We are also excited to share that in November we will be testing a new Premium Auto Commercial Skip add-on service. You'll have the opportunity to try the service for free for 30 days and decide if it is right for you. After the 30-day trial period, you will have the option to opt in and add it to your TiVo account for an additional monthly fee.

satin ribbons

After unexpectedly winning her first blue ribbon for a sewn cape in 1981, Carol St. Clair Johnson developed an enduring love for the New Mexico State Fair. The quilt Fair New Mexico-41 Fair Years incorporates more than six hundred of the ribbons she won at the fair every subsequent year except 2020 (when the fair was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson earned ribbons for needlework, knitting, crochet, pies, cookies, cakes, canning, jewelry, flowers, vegetables, and potted plants. The title of the quilt is a reference to the state song, and the design places the state's Zia sun symbol at the center. The quilt earned Johnson yet another ribbon: Best in Category (miscellaneous quilt) at the 2023 New Mexico State Fair.

Four long exposure stacked photographs of intense and colorful lightning over neighborhoods and palm trees.

Check out the s-tier attributes on my new off-brand toothbrush heads. Whitening is a useless stat for a brush anyway, that all comes from the equipped toothpaste.
A hexagonal radar chart or spider web chart. It depicts the dimensions of ‘BRUSHMO DNA’ showing 3.5/5 whitening, 5/5 gum care, 4.5/5 durability, 4.5/5 cleaning, 5/5 softness, and 4/5 plaque remodal.

It is absolute nonsense like most toothpaste/toothbrush marketing.

Finnish nature photographer Lassi Rautiainen followed a female grey wolf (Canis lupus) & a male brown bear (Ursos arctos) for 10 days. They played together, shared meals, napped together. Both were young adults. They appeared to be... friends? (📷: Lassi Rautiainen, www.wildfinland.org)
A brown bear and a grey wolf on a green grassy plain, both looking in the same direction, with strange wispy trees out of focus and concealed in fog in the distance. The suggestion is of a land of magic where bears and wolves are friends.

X-Men '97 has lots of great compositions. In S2E9 this week, this ridiculous frame of Val Cooper looking at her computer warning her that something has reached 100% made me laugh out loud. So campy, I love it. #xmen97 #x-men
A partial screencap from X-Men '97, S2E9 "Survival of the Fittest". It is a closeup of a shocked and concerned blonde woman named Val Cooper. She is wearing glasses and both lenses show a reflection of text from a computer screen reading "100%" in large red numbers. Harder to make out below the 100% it says "celestial energy".

I opened up @libreoffice.bsky.social to work on a document and saw there was an update. One of the changes: "Writer now displays a more visible grid, and the Snap to Grid functionality now accurately aligns objects with the grid" So glad for this to finally be fixed!! (Pic from the release notes.)
An illustration from the LibreOffice 26.2 patch notes. It shows a blue square on a blank document with a grid of dots in the background. On the left, "before", the grid is hard to see and the square is not-quite aligned with the dots. On the right, "after", the grid is easy to see and the square is perfectly matched.
