The real legacy of 9/11 is that, 25 years later, we're still unwilling to acknowledge any connection that the Saudi government may have had in facilitating the attacks and also developing terrorist cells within the United States because they are very special boys and it's their birthday.

25 Years After 9/11, Questions About the FBI’s Pursuit of Saudi Suspects in the Case Have Only Grown
FBI agents quickly identified a Saudi suspect who helped two of the 9/11 hijackers. But families of the victims are demanding to know what happened in the bureau’s investigation of Omar al-Bayoumi.

These are the actions of an authoritarian state. Instead of investigating the agent who killed Alex Pretti, Trump's DHS conducted sweeping surveillance of Minnesota organizations that were peacefully standing up to this Administration's lawlessness. Despicable.

I worry that most cynical among us, hopped up on 30 years of law and order rhetoric, will say "this is the system working: he didn't do anything wrong and now he's free." As if the terror and wide-scale publicity of an arrest and federal prosecution is not a horrible punishment in and of itself.

There is no longer any choice. We have to see a full UEFA withdrawal from FIFA. Private investment has absolutely no place in an organising body which has a moral duty to both remain neutral and be fully accountable. Infantino is a blight on the game and completely unfit for the role.

Consistent with international law, FIFA determines that rules that apply to everyone else don’t apply to the US.
Breaking: Folarin Balogun will be available to play in USA's Round of 16 match against Belgium on Monday, FIFA announced.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has suspended the red card issued to the USA striker during their Round of 32 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
