i think the funniest fighting game balance change ive ever seen is in the formerly-rare umk3 wavenet rather than removing the base umk3 infinites by nerfing chars, instead they kept them in but added a cap to total moves in a combo. if u try to infinite still, the game makes fun of you, LOOOL

Fish and bugs vary by season and time of day! Some of them will also require you to do something specific, like for flies you leave trash on the ground.

I actually literally do not think they realize what they've done here. Sonic isn't just a game with fans. It's basically embedded in the fabric of the internet. Since I clicked the link ten minutes ago, two THOUSAND more people joined. And it only has five channels to post in and four moderators.

That's definitely the way to do it! I don't LIKE paying that much but since we did the trade it didn't feel too bad. Plus it worked out in my favor, haha

Joe @spacekappa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I think $30? But we brought a few older high value cards to trade so on the day we wound up not spending any actual cash!

THEN DON'T. Beloved niche properties from the '80s don't need their legacies tarnished by slop. Just let it lie if you don't want to put effort into treating it well. Fuck. (See also: James Pond.)

We don’t have a ton of them, I wasn’t buying a lot of cards at the time and Christina didn’t get back into Pokémon until we got together (right when D/P came out on DS) but I still really like them. I also got this Porygon2 today!

Joe @spacekappa.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I have a soft spot for the old e-cards so seeing this reprinted while keeping that aesthetic put it at the top of my list!

Joe @spacekappa.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The scene around Pokémon cards is really ugly right now, there’s no denying it. But sometimes you have moments where a guy walking out of the show says “nice Eevee ears!” about my daughter’s headband and hands her a 30th anniversary pack and you get a reminder not everyone sucks.

Joe @spacekappa.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Thank you! I’ve heard of both of them actually, I watch GrandPooBear on YouTube and they’ve both been mentioned.

Do you watch Mario Maker streamers? Who do you recommend? I don’t watch many streamers but I’ve always enjoyed Mario Maker stuff.

Went to a card show today and bought the 30th anniversary tin with Scraggy (my favorite Pokémon) on it. Then pulled the 30th anniversary card I wanted the most.

A Pokémon TCG tin featuring Mewtwo and Scraggy.

A photo of an opened pack of Pokémon cards, focusing on a glittery, gold card featuring Lugia.

AEW’s tribute show to Pac last night was beautiful. Such a wonderful outpouring of love from everyone and a perfect celebration of what he meant to wrestling. I’m still emotionally drained from it. AEW sadly has gotten really good at these tribute shows and I hope they never have to do one again.

Screenshot of a Twitter post by Val / @shegoingtogloat - it's a Silent Hill screenshot showing a close up of a cork board. On it, a paper says "Welcome to Shorefront Family Clinic" in a classic wiggly 3D font style. The tweet text is: Is this a Silent Hill asset made using PowerPoint lol"
