Accidental beauty from AI: "The city does not sleep; it merely shifts its weight from one foot to the other." This in no way creative. It is entirely coincidence and it's based on an hallucination. 1/5

I swear that "mountainish inhumanity" reads like Shakespeare briefly time-traveled to today before writing this, seeing the eternal inhumanity of too much of humanity continue to THRIVE. We should have learned. We should be BETTER.

Interesting observation: we use " to indicate inches, but we never see ' indicating feet. We use " for seconds and ' for minutes, for both angles and time, but we never use ° for hours. What's that about?

There is a hotel in Brynmawr, Wales, that, for a short time in the mid 80s, had a fantastic chef. I need to taste those garlic mushrooms again. Big mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce. Incredible.

I keep seeing so many people on social media obsessed with having a take, in times of crisis. Hell, I've done it too. But remember: You DON'T have to have one. It's ok to say I have no idea. Also, see image:
An image of a quotation from Marcus Aurelius' MEDITATIONS which reads:

"52. You are not compelled to form an opinion about this matter before you, not to disturb your piece of mind at all. Things in themselves have no power to extort a verdict from you."

Beneath the quote, diagonal pink type has been applied which reads;

Marcus Aurelius has already released you from the obligation to have a take

Great thread on why AIs are stupid. They do not understand the world - the problem that has plagued AI since its early days. Nobody has ever known how to teach an AI the simplest facts about the world, stuff we learned by the age of five, because there is a massive amount of it.
