There is no reason we can’t provide all disabled people a living wage Forcing us to live in legislated poverty and subjecting us to dehumanizing & difficult applications and appeals processes is a political *choice* Society undervalues us. They won’t fight for us So governments deem us expendable

Not all activism is meant for public consumption. If you think all activism requires that everyone know what you're doing, are you doing work for others or for yourself?

1. Stop assuming people announce all their activism on social media. 2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media. 3. Stop deriding people for not announcing all their activism on social media. 4. Dunking on people on social media isn't activism and isn't praxis.

The median age of ADHD diagnosis for men remains 8-12; for women, it’s 35. It’s the result of incomplete criteria and a poor understanding of the diagnostics and best practice. (the gold standard is a methylphenidate test. If one dose calms/focuses you, you have ADHD.)

don't write around tropes. write around what makes your dick hard. i do not believe anyone that says 'there was only one bed' is all it takes to get their dick hard. your dick is hard for other reasons.

i think people constantly bringing up the "kindness is a choice" theme in mxtx's novels miss the important underlying point that she makes: kindness IS a choice, but it's one you can't keep making if nobody is supporting you and you feel alone (jun wu, Almost xie lian)

It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like -check them out regularly at the library -request the library order them if they don’t have them -buy them -start or support banned book clubs -organize a banned book kids story time A real shame

I think its fine to have art content you dont enjoy, approve of or want to see, and establishing a personal boundary is healthy But as anti-porn and anti-art fascism continues to ramp up i think you need to weigh how publicly calling people freaks, degens, weirdos etc is feeding these attitudes

i love the headcanon that shen jiu is absolute catnip to demons bc he fulfills all their kinks (beautiful, ethereal, mean and cutting as hell AND quick to engage in violence? that's a wife you can take home to mama, but not to your dad bc he'll try to bridenap him)

Writing tip: After you finish, go back & cut all the adverbs. Then all the adjectives. Then all the other words. Eat the paper. Now you're free.

"it's good... for an rpg maker game" "the story is actually interesting... unlike other visual novels" please throw away your fear of liking something. it's okay to like a medium unironically. it will make you happier as a person when you stop belittling the things you like 💜

This whole thread. One of the drums I consistently bang on is the idea that the majority of “civility” requirements is code for “the way we hurt you is polite and therefore allowed and you may not complain; the way you hurt us is rude and boorish and therefore you do not matter.”
