The next step of this line of reasoning is telling women to dress modestly… It’s not our job to make men stop SA-ing people (and I don’t think yall would like how that played out anyway).

So, I guess they don't teach history at those fancy schools. The Nazis wanted to take over the UK, so yeah, I'd say it was beneficial.

The "Zionism is racism" motion, to be debated at the Green Party conference tomorrow, will not advance the Palestinian cause one inch. But, if adopted, it would marginalise and discredit the party. There are powerful ways to confront the genocide. Toxic gesture politics isn't one of them.

But this isn’t about ULEZ as a political cause célèbre, whatever people’s views. Nor about it being used as a wedge issue by other parties It’s about the fundamental requirement for a united, unshakable, unbreakable stance across all parties in our democracy against using terror as a political tool

Sarah’s reaction isn’t surprising. We all know the criteria she uses & that Reform’s constant two-tier refrain reveals rather more about how they see the world than how our police & courts do This incident should have been a much bigger wake-up call to all of us. Instead it was too often downplayed

Flying is officially on course to account for *almost all* the UK's carbon dioxide emissions by 2050. Heathrow expansion alone would cause more carbon emissions by 2054 than *any other sector of the economy*. So why is it being contemplated? My column. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

A cynical part of me thinks the only reason these ghouls are pushing the “AI could be conscious rhetoric” is because when it comes to deciding whether humans or data centers should get access to limited energy and water resources, they want ambiguity about why humans should clearly take precedent.

Ultimately I think human authorship is impoetant, even if AI tools are part of the process. (Part of, not the start and finish)
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

That's not the kind of natalism politicians who say they care about the birth rate support. But for a growing number of women, it's the only natalism on offer. It's solo parenthood or no parenthood. And as a society that cares about the next generation existing, we should get real about that
