Great review of the new iPhone. (Mine shows up tomorrow) John is always excellent at putting things in perspective. Also he is right about EDGE (2G) AT&T service. I had the first iPhone and EDGE was good enough for email on the go and that’s it.

Trump has a Reality Distortion Field. Some others (Steve Jobs) have had it too (and mostly used it for good). Oil prices being as low as they are is an example of that. Nothing will change that until we get a Lehman 2008-style event that breaks everyone from the trance.

The "centrist" think tank Third Way is looking to pay someone between $140,000 and $150,000 to spend their days trying to dig up dirt on DSA members. They're trying to sell this gig as "anti-extremism" work, which I find completely disgusting.

I feel like Apple is fudging the numbers on my laptop battery health. I started monitoring my battery health six months before warranty expiration, it went from 85% to 82%. Now, three months out from warranty expiration it’s going up. It’s magically back up to 85%. Call the Pope, it’s a miracle.
