New paper out in @cp-neuron.bsky.social 🎉 What determines contextual modulation in V1? Why does the visual surround sometimes facilitate and sometimes suppress a neuron's response to its preferred stimulus?

Really exciting about this work that just got accepted to ICLR as an oral. We use implicit networks to find stimulus invariance manifolds and then group neurons by aligning them to each other. Very fruitful collaboration lead by @neuralbash.bsky.social and @lucabaroni.bsky.social.
