There was this whole thing where people said the French wouldn't embrace bicycle commuting like the Dutch because of inherent cultural traits and these lanes would be ghost towns. Instead, obviously, bike usage exploded as soon as the infrastructure was made available. These are all lessons people!

Based on experience of literally 100’s of sites, I still see very similar issues when analyzing websites through an SEO lens today. It’s not what you expect like title tab optimization (which is often needed)… no… it’s websites not knowing how to simply explain what they do or what they sell > 🧵

Have a complex query relying on simple-ish math ChatGPT is a much better option than Google. Son & I were looking at Chilean license plates wondering how many permutations with their format. XX-XX-## Voice prompt > answer 8 seconds: ~46M Humans are in trouble. Compare to ~4M total vehicles!

Client has ~9,000 pages of which ~7,400 haven’t received any search traffic in past 3 months. Some zero clicked pages *are* valuable + *are* earning impressions for the ‘correct’ queries. Currently analyzing every page for content helpfulness, internal linking & relevance. Happy Tuesday! #SEO

I think of great SEOs as “forensic optimizers” because they need to get into the weeds to find issues from only viewing the outcomes. It’s what makes the work ‘fun’ finding the obvious behind the bigger picture. Also requires a 10,000 ft vantage point & the ability to see that bigger picture! #SEO
