Big win for the performatively serious "defence" (military) hawks. We're prolonging our reliance on fossil fuels to own...Russia? And we're dialling back efforts to tackle what is plainly our no1 security risk measured by severity and likelihood of impact, i.e. the climate crisis.

Can you imagine what it would look like, if the lads decided to expose the views and behaviour of e.g. individual Tories or Reform members, if they trawled their social media accounts for incriminating comments.

I invite you to notice that the Times is yet again targeting individual, named members of the public, a thing they’ve been doing at least since they were naming and “exposing” individual black students who wanted to move a statue or change the English lit reading list ten years ago.

He claimed it was "naked entryism that is corrupting the party beyond recognition".
Another longstanding party member said there was "clear evidence" of "a highly organised campaign by a small number of infiltrators to take over the party's key votes and committees".

The country does not look like a UKIP wet dream right now because they got into power. Keir Starmer was not removed because The Greens are going to win the next election. Disciplining the Labour party is THE crucial use of the Greens right now. Before you even get to it just being morally correct.

NEW: Bloomberg Saturday read
Andy Burnham is a lucky general as Nigel Farage is engulfed in scandal
— Just as the new PM was starting to face awkward questions from his own side about whether he really has a plan for power, Reform took the heat off him by descending into total chaos.

Several Reform politicians and officials who spoke to Bloomberg questioned whether Farage could recover, conceding that in a best case scenario it would take months for him to shake off the scandal and in a worse outcome it could bring him down.
— Some suggest prominent Reform figures will be considering whether they can replace him as leader Several said the Insa nf Dan lukes who

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.
Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
13 When ballots are submitted to USPS in large-volume
batches, if any one ballot in the batch cannot be verified against the Portal, all ballots in that
batch will be rejected. For example, if a state election official brings a batch of 10,000 ballots to
USPS and USPS is unable to match just one of those ballots against the Portal – because, for
example, someone has recently changed their name after marriage or they’ve moved – then
USPS would refuse to mail the remaining 9,999 ballots as well. As the whistleblower notes,
