There's 8 lines and easily well over 100 stations stretching from St. Joseph, MO to Olathe, KS, and Fort Leavenworth, KS to the start of the Oregon Trail in Independence, MO, and from Excelsior Springs, MO to Lawrence, KS.

Yeah, felt a few oscillations lateral shiftiness in that earthquake. Geoscience Australia reports the earthquake was magnitude 4.8, at a depth of 10km, and centred near Leongatha. #Earthquake #Australia #Victoria #Melbourne #Geoscience #GeoscienceAustralia
Screenshot of earthquake report at https://earthquakes.ga.gov.au/

It's cropped to show just a map of southern and central Victoria and some of the sea off to the south. Melbourne is roughly in the middle of the map. There's also a large red dot to indicate the location of the earthquake. It appears the earthquake was centred near the town of Leongatha in Gippsland, 135 kilometres south-east of Melbourne.

Shocked #Quartz is one piece of evidence that helps identify large impact areas, like the one left by Chicxulub asteroid. The quartz crystals develop a series of parallel laminae, called shock lamellae that indicate deformation, or breakage of the crystal along multiple, parallel planes. #MinCup26
