Here's the animated version with all 3 photos: - pre-impact - 2021 with the fresh crater and rays - 2024 with a darkened aspect (may be due to the lightning too)

Here's the area in MUTED, the crater is visible in the HIRISE 2021 and 2024 footprints. The surrounding hills are a good reference point in the huge HIRISE strip: ⁨https://muted.uni-muenster.de/?x=76.196&y=18.950&z=2413&ch=11.9&cp=-89.1&d=102&b1=18.9443&b2=18.9565&b3=76.1921&b4=76.2018⁩
My own annotated location in the hilly region where the mini-crater can be found. I called it c' at the time, it's actually closer to impact c than e.Closer view of the 2021 HIRISE photo with the mini-crater up-center, Fresh bright material on a sea of regolith around hilly terrain.

Proud of a (Mar)tiny 🙃 contribution to this paper: the location for the 3rd photo in fig. S6 of the supplement info.

No need to apologize, we've had quite some fun with it, my wife thinks we should name the mini-crater Martiny 🤣 It's an honor to be of help! I noticed that fig S6 places it NW of impact e, but I believe it closer to c. Irrelevant to the science I'm sure, but may get someone to scratch their heads 😉

Repurposing mission debris | Is space debris left behind on other planets and moons just waste, or can it be repurposed as a scientifically viable experiment? We asked ourselves that question in a recent study in @agu.org Geophysical Research Letters. agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/...

We got clouded out of the partial maximum, but we were at least treated to some sundogs at the start. Mr Son had better luck further up North (4th photo).
Sun & parhelia, the eclipse was at just 10%.Partly clouded maximum we got to see, reflected on a sheet of paper.Eclipsed Sun disappeareing behind a thick cloud cover.Partial maximum from northern Sweden captured with a phonecam, the green artifact showing the actual extent.

This may not be the use case you're thinking of, but I've found your teaching site a much simpler way to access lessons when revisiting it (some multiple times 😉) mikebrown.caltech.edu/teaching/sci... Sure quizzes & certificates may not be there, but it's a great gateway to the utube lectures 1/2

I disagree slightly, you'll sound a bit toddler & may cause a good laugh. Ms Adult Daughter does this often (un)willingly & we always have a good banter about me murdering "en" & "ett" in Swedish, which is a similar, albeit less comical case 😉

This was a great brief read, thx for sharing! This paragraph's legibility was a bit off, but easy to guess what you meant. If there's still a chance for corrections 😉
"We now know that HCl abundances [abundance?] can be between 2 and 8 ppbv and that it exhibits a strong seasonality, appearing when it [during?] the spring and summer in the southern hemisphere, with peak abundances occurring between 200° and 300°. The timing is the most likely may explain [reason?] why these teams were unable to find HCl, but set such low upper limits for the gas"

el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,

Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante, no hay camino

Mine was only a proof of concept, so I'm glad someone at NASA made a more refined version. Their version apparently fuses more streams of telemetry to represent the true rover position at very small intervals, while mine was limited to only the Navcam image locations that were interpolated.
