LLMs are good at being "a guy with no chill about a subject" but with some chill. Half the reason I use them for programming related questions is to avoid having to interact with the kind of people who answer questions on stackoverflow.com.

LLMs are not dangerous because of AGI or it becoming Skynet or anything like that, it won't and cannot. It is dangerous because people in power don't understand what it is, they believe the Silicon Valley press releases. They are going to use it in deeply stupid ways. This is the actual danger.

Personally, I think the Muppets were at their best remaking classics by replacing all but a couple people with muppets. Can't believe that hasn't gotten.more traction in this current Hollywood movement to remake everything.

Variety show, not sure, but plot as loose connective tissue is alive and well. For the Super Mario Galaxy movie, they clearly started with bits and one liners they wanted to include and reverse engineered the plot to be whatever strung those parts together.
