The Vernese Rangers were actually the first faction I designed! I knew I wanted unit placement to be a huge part of the game, so there had to be heroes who could manipulate units outside of turn order. Hence, these totally-not-wasteland-elves.

Back half of this video has me on a new conspiracy theory: Spiderman and TMNT weren't small sets that got expanded.
