ICE has abducted Senegalese WBB player Aminata Seck and won't release her. DHS 'policy' is to provide medical care to prisoners at intake, yet they admit to denying her care for an ACL injury for 1.5 months. The NCAA is letting it happen, despite its predatory recruitment of ICAs. We explain.

Aminata Seck’s detention shows the bargain facing international college athletes: universities eagerly recruit them, but support can disappear when their immigration status becomes precarious.

So a special government employee working for the Pentagon is putting out a large database tracking private citizens and their political affiliations. This should be a massive scandal.
Screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the user DataRepublican. The post reads: "I began working as a Special Government Employee for the Department of War in July, to serve the country in a more hands-on way. My press credentials at the Pentagon expired in June and I did not seek a renewal of those credentials. I currently am not a member of the Pentagon [Show more]". It quote-tweets a post by Konstantin Toropin (@KToropin) stating: "The Pentagon confirms — 'Ms. Pounds serves at the Department of War as a Special Government Employee.'" Below the quoted post, DataRepublican replies in a thread: "I defer to @JoelValdezDOW on all further questions."Screenshot of a post on X by DataRepublican announcing the launch of the "DSA Explorer" tool on datarepublican.com. Yikes. Women accounted for all of the job losses and all of the labor force decline in July, according to @nwlc.org
WASHINGTON — Women accounted for 100 percent of the decline in the labor force in July, according to a National Women’s Law Center jobs analysis of monthly data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That brings the total net number of women who have left the labor force since January this year to 845,000. In comparison, there are 406,000 fewer men in the labor force now than in January.

A total of 165,000 women, aged 20 and over, left the labor force last month — meaning they are neither working nor looking for work — while men's labor force participation was unchanged. Overall, the economy lost 23,000 jobs in July. Women accounted for all of these losses, losing 32,000 jobs, while men gained 9,000 jobs. Women make up 50.1% of the workforce.
