I won’t name names publicly but manipulation of consent, using deception, and misrepresentation of intent also is also deeply violating, and in my own Rolodex, I can point to at least three cases where this happened.

Just learned that Tennessee is buying its lethal injection drugs on the “gray market” as companies have stopped selling it to states. The "gray market" is the same place athletes buy steroids and people without insurance access GLP1s. No lab certification, no knowledge of origin.

Using my tax money, the state of Tennessee attempted to lethality inject a woman with a known vascular condition using the doctor who botched the state's most recent execution. After two attempts Christa Pike did not die, but she does have brain damage. Call it what it is: state-sanctioned torture.

This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now. He got away, and they never relocated him.
