This is due to Waymo's business choices, not technical challenges. Waymo could tell its cars not to park illegally (or block bike lanes), but that might annoy riders. Want Waymo to follow the law? Either use automatic cameras w/steep fines or make future permits contingent on better behavior.

On February 15, 2026 Kenny Jimmenez Rivera was killed at Upshur & Kansas. PfSS organized a community letter with 175+ neighbors calling on DDOT to address safety issues here. DDOT acknowledged the dangerous intersections and quick fixes they could implement. Six months later and nothing has changed.
