Just a girl and her* airplane 🥰 * actually it is emphatically the Canadian Aviation Museum’s airplane but they do let me fly it a lot

by delivering empty platitudes and flattery? You would further be breaking the commandments to not lie/false witness. When someone just spits out this verse in relation to parents/family specifically being terrible, it’s frustrating because they don’t know enough vocab to know what “honor” means.

020

”Dizzy Yet” Pam, a Scrivener𓋇 @sesheta.chipchirp.digital · 17m

I am pained to remind folks that the verse isn’t *worship* parents, it is neither *serve* parents or *cover for crimes* because parents. If your parents are not honorable, that is, if there is nothing they did that you can praise fairly, then wouldn’t you actually be breaking the commandment,

”Dizzy Yet” Pam, a Scrivener𓋇 @sesheta.chipchirp.digital · 17m

Sometimes, I bring up my family and I don’t really have a lot of genuine nice things to say, and once in a while someone will mention the bible verse about honoring parents like they’re Yoda. I’m not a Christian but like, this would require something TO honor, yes?

A funny thing happens to materials under enough pressure; it’s called metallization: “Every material is predicted to turn into a metal if the pressure is high enough, and temperature low enough.” Sub-stellar gas giants have a sea of liquid metallic Hydrogen Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metalli...

Last night I was trying to work out what this plot would look like for liquid methane, but all I could find was stuff on metallization of methane at >300Gpa. Which sure, is relevant if you're a spino-aeroform, but I wanna know what vertebrate fish on Titan see when they're swimming around!
