I want people's hottest gaming takes. I'll start: the XBox 360 was the worst thing to ever happen to gaming and you can blame 90% of the problems in modern gaming to the success of the 360... and I don't not mean it in a console fan boy way, either. What's your hottest gaming take?

this iconic advertising copywriter named Kathy Hepinstall Parks died over the weekend and I wanted to share something from her website I thought Bluesky would like

Why should I write better when a machine can do it for me?
Because actually no one can do it for you, because your voice is unique among all the people on earth. Siri never petted a horse's neck. Alexa has never been ghosted by the captain of the football team. But you have lived, your heart is beating, you have suffered, and you have something important to say. It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

All other considerations aside, a big joy in dumping Amazon has been enjoying a curated product selection. Indie sellers proliferate if a site sells literally anything but so do knockoffs and scammers. “We personally chose these items to sell because we like them” shops feel luxurious.

One year ago tonight, the night sky wow'd much of the planet with dancing colors in what was one of the best aurora displays of the last two decades. This was the scene all the way down on the freakin' Oklahoma/Texas border that night! Even had overhead pillars. Let's do that again soon, yeah?

The aurora illuminates the night sky over a lake along the OK/TX border. Stars shine through a sky completely filled with colors of pink, purple, red, and green.

A photo looking straight up at purple and red pillars along the OK/TX border.

Red pillars overhead looking SOUTH from the OK/TX border.

PSA: RWs, it's not your beliefs that are getting you blocked and banned here; it's the fact you act like a bunch of assholes. You're not the charming assholes we see on TV, you lack the necessary charm to pull that off. Act like normal human beings on here, and you'll be fine.

✨ GLITCH TEXT TUTORIAL ✨ Here is how I create the glitch effect that I use for my cyberpunk and tech-themed designs! You can also apply this technique to images and not just text. Let me know if this tutorial helped you! Feel free to tag me in your creations! #vtuberassets #design #tutorial

1) Start off with your title text

2) Duplicate twice, move under the main title layer, then offset and colour green/cyan and pink/red

3) Rasterize and merge all layers together, then make a selection all the way across the text and move it slightly to one direction

4) Do it a few more times!

5) Select a random portion of your text and go to Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic
*Note: this is only for Photoshop

6) It should look like this!

7) Do it a few more times in random places throughout the text and with varying rectangle sizes!

And done!
