i'm at least glad that discord was able to get a system that's less personally intrusive going for age verification that isn't as hard required as "we need you to scan a full legal ID and we will keep it in our database" but the need for it still sucks and i am still very fearful about the future

ultimately the problem isnt discord its age verification laws. any platform people would move to away from discord would obviously eventually be big enough to also be under scrutiny from International Lawmakers. thus likely forcing them to implement age verification as well
